Monique earned a B.A. in Sociology and Chicana/o Studies and a minor in Education Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University.
One of the primary barriers Latina/o/e/x college and graduate students experience includes the ever-increasing cost of college tuition. In fact, from 2008 – 2018, the average tuition at four-year public colleges in the U.S. increased by 37% (Source: CNBC). To help students identify funding opportunities, I have curated a list of databases, guides, and other resources.
