One of the primary barriers Latina/o/e/x college and graduate students experience includes the ever-increasing cost of college tuition. In fact, from 2008 – 2018, the average tuition at four-year public colleges in the U.S. increased by 37% (Source: CNBC). To help students identify funding opportunities, I have curated a list of databases, guides, and other resources.
Melanie earned a B.A. in Communication from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Cinema Production from DePaul University. Melanie is currently pursuing a doctorate degree (Ed.D) in Higher Education Leadership at National Louis University.
